Join us outdoors this summer for craft
ing and community under the sunset! Each session w
e will have a new craft activity to enjoy. There w
ill also be an opportunity to tour Gizmo if you ar
e not familiar with the space. All ages are welcom
e\, children must have an adult present.

u will receive an awesome laser-cut loom\, made in
-house at Gizmo\, and learn to weave yarn\, ribbon
\, and fabric scraps into a "mug rug" - a perfectl
y shaped cozy coaster to place beverages or a litt
le potted plant on!

\n \n Thursday August 13th: Scoubidou Plastic Laci
ng
\n Scoubidou\, aka boondoggle\, aka gi
mp is a knotting craft using flat plastic lacing c
ord. It is French in origin from the 1950s and a s
ummer camp staple. You'll grab two colors\, learn
the square/box knot\, spiral stitch\, and finishin
g a neat key chain!
\n 
\n \n Thursday August 27th: Bleac
h Painting
\n Get wild with bleach! Turn
a black bandana into your own wearable art piece b
y painting it with bleach. Use it as a headband\,
a neck tie\, or a bag accessory! All materials wil
l be provided for a black bandana bleached art pie
ce\, but you are welcome to bring any dark fabric
of your choosing and get extra creative with it! P
lease wear clothing that is safe to be bleached.\n
