Join us outdoors this summer for craft ing and community under the sunset! Each session w e will have a new craft activity to enjoy. There w ill also be an opportunity to tour Gizmo if you ar e not familiar with the space. All ages are welcom e\, children must have an adult present.

Thursday June 25t
h: Sun Printing
\n Just a few days after
the summer solstice\, we are celebrating the long
days with Sun Printing! This art method uses cyano
type dye to capture the shadow left behind by an o
bject blocking the sun. Materials included: cyanot
ype dye\, paper and simple fabric squares to print
on\, and stencils and dried plants to block out t
he sun. Optional: We encourage you to go for a nat
ure walk before the event to collect your own uniq
ue plants to use for printing! You are also welcom
e to bring your own materials to print on\, such a
s clothing or bags\, but it must be a natural fibe
r such as cotton and a light color.

Thursday July 9th: Beaded Suncatcher\n Channel your inner magpie as we chain toget
her shiny beads and charms to make a colorful and
whimsical suncatcher! All supplies and tools will
be provided.

Thursday July 23rd: Weaving Mug Rugs

Learn to weave! You will receive an awesome laser
-cut loom\, made in-house at Gizmo\, and learn to
weave yarn\, ribbon\, and fabric scraps into a "mu
g rug" - a perfectly shaped cozy coaster to place
beverages or a little potted plant on!
