\n \nCreators will:
\n \nDream up an original story and cre ate a detailed storyboard
\nDesign characters\, props\, and sets with acces s to 3D printing tools\, digital art components\, and an abundance of found items and Lego component s
\nFilm and direct their own stop-motion movie using iPads and stop motion filming apps.
\nLearn th e basics of video editing to polish their final pr oduction
\nExplore simple machines and motion
\nUs e the laser cutter and 3D printer to design and c ut custom shapes and objects
\nDiscover the magic of building automata--mec hanical moving props
\nFrom carefully capturing each tiny movement of a c haracter to watching gears turn in a hand-built me chanical sculpture\, Gizmo Creators discover how c reativity and engineering work together. They’ll e xplore how motion is created both on screen and in real life — frame by frame.

\n \nScholarship Information: Scholarships are based on financ ial need and awarded on a first-come\, first-serve d basis. Gizmo uses a sliding scale system for sch olarships: you decide what your family can reasona bly contribute toward your child's camp experience \, and Gizmo covers the difference. Families may a pply for one scholarship per child\, per summer\, for the camp(s) of their choosin g. To apply for a scholarship\, please complete th e Summer 2026 Scholarship Application form\, which is accessible by clicking here. Upon approval of your application\, you will be pr ovided with instructions on how to register your c hild for camp. Please do not attempt to register p rior to receiving a confirmation from Gizmo.
\n \nCancellation Policy: If your child i s no longer able to attend class\, you may cancel your registration up to 10 days prior to the st art of camp for a 90% refund. (Gizmo retains 1 0% to cover our administrative/transaction costs.) Refunds will generally not be issued for cancella tions within 10 days of camp\, nor missed camp day s.
\n \nClass Policies & Procedures: Prior to completing camp registration\, families should be familiar with the policies outlined in t he Youth Programs: Information for Families and the Gi zmo Student Code of Conduct.. In addition\, ea ch camper is required to have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian prior to participating in camp ac tivities. You can access the youth waiver here.
