Outrageous Orbs

Using clay slabs, students will explore various ways to create and use orbs, big and small. We will use slump and hump molds from everyday objects, thumb, coil, and subtractive methods. With these techniques, students can make functional pieces such as cups, vases, and storage containers or use them as building blocks for larger, more complex sculptures like animal and figurative works.

Please bring an apron and a towel.

Age: 16+

Cost: $180.00 + the cost of clay

Students may purchase a 25 lb bag of clay from Gizmo for the member price of $30,  Due to firing requirements, we cannot allow clay in this class purchased outside of Gizmo.
