Presentation by Craig Cooper with the Coeur d'Alene Climate Adaptation Project and Idaho DEQ
Climate change has already begun to impact our communities in northern Idaho. These impacts include increasing temperatures, loss of snow, increased drought, more frequent and damaging wildfires, ecologic damage to our lakes and streams, and increased human health impacts from heat stress and reduced air quality. These environmental damages will also impact our local economies in many ways. This presentation will discuss the many anticipated impacts of climate change on our region, and present ways we can come together to mitigate those damages and build more resilient communities.
