Description:
Join us for an introductory class on throwing pottery on the wheel and learn how to throw your first cylinder. It’s the perfect way to get your hands in the clay and discover if pottery is for you. We encourage taking the Fundamentals class multiple times to build confidence in preparing clay, mastering centering, and refining your basic throwing techniques. Dive in and experience the joy of creating with clay!
Cost of class includes weekly instruction, studio clay, studio glazes and firing. You should expect to finish 3-5 pieces in the course of the class that will be yours to keep.
Note: Wheel throwing is physically demanding and requires holding static positions for extended periods of time. This class is not recommended for individuals with chronic pain and/or injuries in the hand, wrist, elbow or shoulders.
