Drawing with Fire and Metal

Make a Torch Welded Sculpture for your home or garden and learn the basics of metal working

Session Dates and Times:

Friday, January 31st, 5:00 - 9:00 PM

Saturday, February 1st 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Description: In this class students will learn shop safety, proper use/care of tools and processes/techniques with demonstration. We will be using the Oxyacetylene torch and welding rod to create 3 dimensional art.
First session of the class will be practicing shaping metal with the torch as well as welding pieces together to understand the processes for your project.
Second portion of the class, students will work on a small sculpture that they get to take home.
Join us in learning to create a metal sculpture by drawing with fire and steel in 3-D!

Students must wear closed toed shoes and attire which is natural fibers. (Cotton, wool, denim, etc....) No synthetic clothing (polyester, spandex, nylon, etc...)

Age: 16 years or older.

Cost: $160.00 for class + $30.00 for materials
