Citizen Science in Non-Science Disciplines Professional Development Workshop

Registration is closed for this event
The final workshop in our three-part virtual PD series: Citizen Science & Pocket Labs. Workshops may be taken individually as stand-alone programs, or in succession for PD credit.

In this "mini PD," educators will explore Citizen Science as an approach for integrating Project-Based Learning (PBL) in non-science disciplines. This workshop is geared toward both the non-science educator looking to integrate STEM and PBL within their content area, as well as the science educator looking to develop interdisciplinary projects. Participants will receive a resource kit, valued at approximately $50, designed to help them implement workshop strategies in the classroom.

The workshop will consist of (2) one-hour live sessions on Zoom, and an individual research and reflection assignment (approx. 3 hours) to be completed between the two meetings. Zoom sessions will be recorded; however live attendance at the Zoom meetings is required in order to receive a materials kit and to be eligible for PD credit (see below).

Workshop Meeting Dates:

Thursday, April 13 | 4:30-5:30PM PT

Thursday, April 20 | 4:30-5:30PM PT
