FREE Code d'Alene workshop: AI and Ocean Pollution Solutions! (Ages 7-10)

AI & Oceans: Teach a Computer to Help Save the Sea!

Session Date: Monday, December 8th

Time: 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Description: Dive into the exciting world of artificial intelligence (AI) in this one-day adventure—no coding experience needed! Kids will explore how machine learning works by participating in Code.org’s AI for Oceans activity. You’ll help train a model to tell the difference between fish and trash, use training data, test predictions, and even add new sea creature labels. Along the way, we’ll talk about bias—why the data we feed the AI matters—and how these tools can be used to help clean up the ocean. With every click and decision, you’ll spark curiosity, problem-solving, and big ideas about how technology can make a real-world impact

Age: 7-10
