Discovering Kumiko: The Art of the Perfect Fit

No nails. No glue. Just pure precision.

Session Date: Thursday, January 15th

Time: 5:30 - 8:30 PM

Description: For 1,400 years, Japanese woodworkers have been creating stunning geometric patterns using nothing but perfectly cut pieces of wood and a whole lot of patience. The secret? Every piece locks together through sheer craftsmanship—no fasteners required.

In this 3-hour beginner workshop, you'll learn the art of Kumiko (geometric wooden lattice work) and walk away with a handmade trivet featuring the classic Asanoha (hemp leaf) pattern. It's part puzzle, part meditation, and 100% satisfying when everything clicks into place.

Age: 14+

Cost: $90 (includes materials)
