Description: Step into Whiz-Lab Wednesdays—your mid-week power-up for all things wow-worthy in the makerspace! In this exciting 2-week workshop for ages 12+, you’ll step into the world of digital design and precision making! Using Inkscape and Gizmo's professional laser cutter, you’ll explore how designers turn simple sketches into real, functional objects and create your own personalized cell-phone charging station and a click-together decorative box!
You’ll learn how to modify templates, experiment with shapes and engraving, and bring your ideas to life with the laser’s super-clean cuts. Along the way, you’ll earn skill badges for design, fabrication, and safe tool use.
And if you’re hungry for more? Continue your journey in our follow-up two-week class, "Pathway to Laser Cutter Certification," where you’ll level up, earn advanced badges, create more personalized projects, and get one step closer to full certification on Gizmo’s laser cutter.
