Session Date:
Thursday, February 19th
Time: 5:30 - 8:30 PM
Description:
There's something meditative about it—a sharp edge meeting soft green wood, curls peeling away, a shape slowly revealing itself beneath your hands.
In this 3-hour workshop, you'll experience the quiet satisfaction of traditional spoon carving. Working with freshly harvested greenwood (the carver's choice for centuries), you'll learn to read the grain, guide a spokeshave, hollow with a gouge, and refine with rasps until a functional cooking spoon emerges—one curve at a time.
No power tools. No rush. Just you, the wood, and the meditative rhythm of handwork.
You'll leave with a one-of-a-kind spoon ready for your kitchen and a new appreciation for why this craft has endured for generations.
