Girls Who Woodwork Camp (Ages 11+)

Measure it. Cut it. Build it. Own it.

Session Dates (5):
Monday - Friday
June 15th - 19th

Time: 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Description: Step into the woodshop and discover what you can create with your own two hands! In this exciting one-week camp, girls ages 11 and up will learn to confidently use real woodworking tools while crafting beautiful, functional projects.

Campers will explore essential hand tools and power tools like the bandsaw, miter saw, and Japanese handsaws, learning safe techniques and building skills step by step. Along the way, you’ll design and construct a stunning Japanese-inspired wooden box, plus other creative projects that showcase craftsmanship and personal style.

This camp is about more than just wood—it’s about growing confidence, resilience, and creativity. As skills increase, campers can earn tool badges for safe use and mastery, along with character badges that celebrate teamwork, perseverance, and problem-solving.

If you’re ready to saw, sand, build, and shine—Girls Who Woodwork is your place to create something strong, beautiful, and uniquely yours.

Age: 11+

Cost: $275 (includes materials)

Scholarship Information: Gizmo reserves half of all camp spots for scholarship recipients. Scholarships are based on financial need and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Gizmo uses a sliding scale system for scholarships: you decide what your family can reasonably contribute toward your child's camp experience, and Gizmo covers the difference. Families may apply for one scholarship per child, per summer, for the camp(s) of their choosing. To apply for a scholarship, please complete the Summer 2026 Scholarship Application form, which is accessible by clicking here. Upon approval of your application, you will be provided with instructions on how to register your child for camp. Please do not attempt to register prior to receiving a confirmation from Gizmo.

Cancellation Policy: If your child is no longer able to attend camp, you may cancel your registration up to 10 days prior to the start of camp for a 90% refund. (Gizmo retains 10% to cover our administrative/transaction costs.) Refunds will generally not be issued for cancellations within 10 days of camp, nor missed camp days.

Camp Policies & Procedures: Prior to completing camp registration, families should be familiar with the policies outlined in the Youth Programs: Information for Families and the Gizmo Student Code of Conduct.. In addition, each camper is required to have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian prior to participating in camp activities. You can access the youth waiver here.
