Session Dates (5):
Monday - Friday
July 6th - 10th
Time: 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Description: Did you know an elephant’s trunk helped inspire drones that can gently pick apples? Or that burrs on a plant led to the invention of Velcro? At this high-energy camp, we’ll uncover how nature is one of the greatest engineers of all time—and how you can use those ideas to design solutions of your own.
Through hands-on challenges and creative design thinking, you’ll explore how animals, plants, and ecosystems solve problems to survive—and even thrive. Then it’s your turn! Identify real-world challenges in your community (or beyond) and prototype your own innovative solutions inspired by the natural world.
Campers will experiment with 3D printers, programming, electronics, and other Gizmo tools to bring their ideas to life. Along the way, you’ll earn Engineering & Design Thinking badges, plus skill badges for the tools and technologies you master.
Get ready to observe, imagine, prototype, and build—because when you think like nature, incredible ideas take root.
