Session Dates (5):
Monday - Friday
July 20th - 24th
Time: 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM
Description: Campers explore how plants and animals solve BIG problems in amazing ways. How do geckos climb walls? How can bumblebees fly when they look too fluffy for the job? Why are some leaves waterproof and some seeds designed to stick to your socks?
Through hands-on experiments, up-close discoveries, simple microscope explorations, stories, and playful mini-makes, campers will uncover the incredible designs hidden all around us. Then comes the best part — inventing a superpower of their own!
Inspired by nature’s genius, each camper will imagine, design, and build their own super-power themed creations, as well as imagining solutions to challenges others face in the community. Will you have owl vision? Cactus armor? Chameleon camouflage?
Get ready for BIG curiosity, tiny discoveries, and tons of imaginative, creative fun!
Age: 5-7
Cost: $150 (includes materials)
Scholarship Information: Gizmo reserves half of all camp spots for scholarship recipients. Scholarships are based on financial need and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Gizmo uses a sliding scale system for scholarships: you decide what your family can reasonably contribute toward your child's camp experience, and Gizmo covers the difference. Families may apply for one scholarship per child, per summer, for the camp(s) of their choosing. To apply for a scholarship, please complete the Summer 2026 Scholarship Application form, which is accessible by clicking here. Upon approval of your application, you will be provided with instructions on how to register your child for camp. Please do not attempt to register prior to receiving a confirmation from Gizmo.
Cancellation Policy: If your child is no longer able to attend camp, you may cancel your registration up to 10 days prior to the start of camp for a 90% refund. (Gizmo retains 10% to cover our administrative/transaction costs.) Refunds will generally not be issued for cancellations within 10 days of camp, nor missed camp days.
Camp Policies & Procedures: Prior to completing camp registration, families should be familiar with the policies outlined in the Youth Programs: Information for Families and the Gizmo Student Code of Conduct.. In addition, each camper is required to have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian prior to participating in camp activities. You can access the youth waiver here.
