Minecraft: Inside Out Camp (Ages 8-10)

What if your favorite game became your science lab, architecture studio, and coding playground?

Session Dates (5):
Monday - Friday
July 20th - 24th

Time: 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Description: Campers dive into Minecraft: Education Edition to explore the world from the inside — and build it back better. This isn’t just playing Minecraft. It’s using Minecraft to experiment, design, test, code, and discover.

Campers will:

  • Mix and test elements in the Minecraft Chemistry Lab and then mix them in real life to create compounds and reactions that impact our daily lives!

  • Explore architecture, city planning, and sustainable design, then create a digital and prototyped 3D model of your own proposed playground and outdoor community space for all ages to enjoy!

  • Problem-solve through STEM challenges and collaborative builds, exploring the natural world as represented in Minecraft and going outside to experience nature's amazing designs. From spider webs to honey bees--nature knows how to engineer!

  • Research, prototype, test, and improve your creations through the same process scientists and engineers use to solve challenges great and small.

  • Dive into the next stage of STEM discovery through Minecraft's Machine Learning and AI activities!

From hands-on science experiments outside the screen to digital builds inside the game, campers experience Minecraft “inside out” — understanding how systems work, how worlds are designed, and how code makes it all happen.

Big ideas. Real science. Endless creativity.

Scholarship Information: Gizmo reserves half of all camp spots for scholarship recipients. Scholarships are based on financial need and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Gizmo uses a sliding scale system for scholarships: you decide what your family can reasonably contribute toward your child's camp experience, and Gizmo covers the difference. Families may apply for one scholarship per child, per summer, for the camp(s) of their choosing. To apply for a scholarship, please complete the Summer 2026 Scholarship Application form, which is accessible by clicking here. Upon approval of your application, you will be provided with instructions on how to register your child for camp. Please do not attempt to register prior to receiving a confirmation from Gizmo.

Cancellation Policy: If your child is no longer able to attend camp, you may cancel your registration up to 10 days prior to the start of camp for a 90% refund. (Gizmo retains 10% to cover our administrative/transaction costs.) Refunds will generally not be issued for cancellations within 10 days of camp, nor missed camp days.

Camp Policies & Procedures: Prior to completing camp registration, families should be familiar with the policies outlined in the Youth Programs: Information for Families and the Gizmo Student Code of Conduct.. In addition, each camper is required to have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian prior to participating in camp activities. You can access the youth waiver here.
