Session Dates (5):
Monday - Friday
July 13th - 17th
Time: 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Description: Campers become explorers, artists, builders, and little scientists as they head outdoors to discover the wonders all around them. This playful, hands-on camp invites curious minds to observe, collect, design, and create using materials found in nature.
Why do leaves have different shapes? Who might live under a log? What can you build with bark, twigs, and a little creativity?
Through guided exploration, storytelling, building challenges, and open-ended making, campers learn to see the outdoors as a giant makerspace full of possibilities. Every day is filled with hands-on discovery, creative expression, and joyful experimentation.
Big curiosity. Little hands. Endless making.
Age: 8-10
Cost: $150 (includes materials)
Scholarship Information: Gizmo reserves half of all camp spots for scholarship recipients. Scholarships are based on financial need and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Gizmo uses a sliding scale system for scholarships: you decide what your family can reasonably contribute toward your child's camp experience, and Gizmo covers the difference. Families may apply for one scholarship per child, per summer, for the camp(s) of their choosing. To apply for a scholarship, please complete the Summer 2026 Scholarship Application form, which is accessible by clicking here. Upon approval of your application, you will be provided with instructions on how to register your child for camp. Please do not attempt to register prior to receiving a confirmation from Gizmo.
Cancellation Policy: If your child is no longer able to attend camp, you may cancel your registration up to 10 days prior to the start of camp for a 90% refund. (Gizmo retains 10% to cover our administrative/transaction costs.) Refunds will generally not be issued for cancellations within 10 days of camp, nor missed camp days.
Camp Policies & Procedures: Prior to completing camp registration, families should be familiar with the policies outlined in the Youth Programs: Information for Families and the Gizmo Student Code of Conduct.. In addition, each camper is required to have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian prior to participating in camp activities. You can access the youth waiver here.
