Laser Cutter: Plant Stakes!

Introduction to using the laser cutter for cutting and engraving.

Session Date:
Friday, June 12th

Time: 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Description: In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll be introduced to the laser cutter — a computer-controlled machine that uses a highly focused beam of light to precisely cut and engrave materials like wood, acrylic, and more. We’ll cover how the machine works, basic safety, simple file setup, and how to prepare your design for cutting and engraving.

Then you’ll design and make your own set of wooden plant stakes for your garden. Customize the shape, choose your favorite fonts and add plant names. You can choose to include a cute engraved icon to match each herb, veggie, or flower. You can choose to engrave or cut out the text, as seen in the examples.

No prior experience needed — just bring your garden wish list and your creativity!
