Thursday, September 24th
Thursday, October 1st

Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Description: Learn to rebind paperback books into hardcover! Whether you're new to bookbinding or looking to build your skills, you'll learn the techniques and craftsmanship behind transforming a well-loved book into a beautifully rebound work of art.

In this class you'll gain hands-on experience with the tools, materials, and processes used in bookbinding. You'll learn how to measure your book and calculate the size of the cover, then use the laser to cut the cover pieces.
You'll carefully remove the original cover, and construct, cover, and finish a custom hardcover. You will learn Cricut Design Space software to design your own new cover, then cut it out and apply it. All of the color choices from the endpapers and headband to the cover are in your hands.
This class is designed to build the skills and confidence to complete every stage of the bookbinding process on your own.

Participants must bring a paperback novel with a spine thickness between 1 and 2.5 inches to bind. All other materials and supplies are included.
