Design it. Print it. Code it. Wear it!
Take your first step into the amazing world of digital making in this fun-filled 3D printing class! Young makers will discover how ideas can travel from a computer screen to a real, 3D-printed creation—and then come to life with code!
Using TinkerCad, students new to 3D printing will begin by personalizing a custom name badge by adding their name in bold 3D letters and creative design elements. Once their badge is ready, they'll prepare it for the 3D printer and watch as layers of plastic transform their digital design into something they can hold. Returning students will tackle designing a new name badge from scratch in TinkerCad!
Students will continue their 3D modeling learning by creating different personalized builds for their locker or bedroom!
Along the way, students will:

🤝 Build confidence through creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving
As they explore the maker journey, students can earn Level 1 & 2 Skill Badges in TinkerCad & 3D Printing, along with Character Badges that celebrate creativity, perseverance, curiosity, and teamwork.Returning students have the opportunity to work toward earning their Level 3 TinkerCad and 3D Printing Badges--Level 3 allows students with a Gizmo membership to be certified to use the 3D printers at Gizmo with a parent present.

There is something fun for both new and returning students to experience--practice in the 3D printing platforms leads to certification at ages 14+.
