Time: 5:30 - 8:30 PM

Description: This class will give students the skills necessary to produce 3D goods from leather using various common stitching techniques. In this class students will get to learn how to efficiently engrave large surface areas of leather using geometric patterns such as the basket weave. Students will then learn how to punch holes and prepare the leather for stitching and then how to bevel and burnish the edges of leather before dying and sealing for a more finished look. Finally the students will assemble their projects using the three most common stitches: saddle stitch, butt stitch, and box stitch. With these skills, students will have the ability to produce even the largest of leather projects.
