Description:
Step into the woodshop and discover what you can create with your own two hands! In this exciting 4-session workshop, builders ages 11 and up will learn to confidently use real woodworking tools while crafting beautiful, functional projects.
Gizmo woodworkers will explore essential hand tools and power tools like the bandsaw and Japanese handsaws, hand-held electric drills, and other hand tools, while learning safe techniques and building skills step by step. Along the way, they'll design and construct a fun and functional bird feeder for our winter feathered friends, and one or more individulaized display and hanging shelves!
This woodworking experience is about more than just wood—it’s about growing confidence, resilience, and creativity. As skills increase, campers can earn tool badges for safe use and mastery, along with character badges that celebrate teamwork, perseverance, and problem-solving.

Badged Skills: If a student has already earned a Level 1 badge in a previous camp or class, opprotunities to levle up are provided! Band Saw Level 1 & 2, Hand Saw 1 & 2, Hammer level 1 & 2, Electric Drill Level 1 & 2, Hand Screw Driver Level 1 & 2

Online Registration closes Saturday, October 31at at 3:30 PM. Class will run with at least 3 students, and with the minimum met, registration will remain open via phone or in-person until 11 AM, November 3rd. Please note, Gizmo is closed Sunday and Monday.
