Description:

What if you could code something that actually comes to life?

Go beyond the screen and turn your ideas into real, working inventions! In this hands-on, four-week class, you'll explore Arduino Uno microcontrollers, learn to write C++ code, and discover how to make lights, sensors, motors, and other electronic components respond to your commands.

Start with the basics—no coding experience required! Then level up as you build circuits, experiment with electronics, troubleshoot challenges, and discover what your code can do in the real world.

The best part? YOU decide what to create!

During the second half of the class, you'll take your new skills in your own direction. Dream up an invention, tackle an everyday frustration, or design something that could make a difference in your community. You'll have the tools, technology, and support to experiment, test, redesign, and bring your ideas to life.

Whether you're brand-new to coding or ready for your next big challenge, Gizmo Coders is your launchpad for creative problem-solving, engineering, and invention.

Want to keep inventing? Continue developing your projects in future Gizmo sessions to create something fun, artistic, useful, or personally meaningful, with opportunities to also work toward competitions like Invent Idaho and the Idaho Science and Engineering Fair.

Online Registration closes Wednesday, November 4th at 6:00 PM. Class will run with at least 3 students, and with the minimum met,  registration will remain open via phone or in-person until 3:00 PM, November 6th. Please note, Gizmo is closed Sunday and Monday.

Please wear closed toed shoes to Gizmo classes.
